The night Sonja was born, the hospital's computer system crashed. When it rebooted, one line blinked on every screen in the building: ACCESS GRANTED. Nobody could explain it and nobody ever fixed it. It simply went away the moment her mother carried her out of the door.
She grew up on a farm in the Karoo, where the internet arrived about once a week if it felt like it. So Sonja learned to code the hard way, from old manuals, a secondhand laptop and pure stubbornness. She wrote programs by candlelight during load-shedding and ran them in her head until the power came back. By fourteen her code was so clean that programmers online accused her of cheating. She never argued. She just posted the next solution faster.
Then something strange started happening: nobody could keep up. She entered competitions and won them before the other teams had finished reading the brief. Rivals began calling her the villain, because how else do you explain someone that far ahead? Sonja heard the name, smiled, and kept it.
Today she is X3WEB's final boss, the one who works for the heroes. When a problem lands that makes everyone else go quiet, it goes to Sonja. She doesn't panic and she doesn't rush. She already has the plan. She always has the plan.
